Wordless Wednesday today is a great video I came across. I assure, you will not be able to hold back tears. It's a little reminder how lucky we are to have people that risk their lives to defend our country.
Enjoy!

The links are being funky, but try the top one. If you cannot click it, copy and past the top link to your browser. If that doesn't work type "marine surprises brother at basketball practice" to youtube.
I guarantee its worth the effort!

Fashion Advice
-I do not care how fit you are, there are age limits for bikinis. Dress your age. If you are over 45 (I recently pushed it from 40 for all the women mourning their 30s) you should go buy something with more coverage. There are some really cute one pieces and tankinis out there... you do not have to sacrifice style to be classy.
Helen Miren at far over 45... just no.
50 years old.. I believe I rest my case.
-If you are going out with the girlfriends or even your boyfriend... avoid these looks.
crop tops, see through shirts, too-short too-tight dresses, black bras with white shirts, vamped cleavage.... just no. Know your body, dress your body and you will be a lot more comfortable, happier, less embarrassed, or at least not have to waste your time detagging photos of yourself on facebook.
-If you have a "hot bod", trust me everyone gets it. You do not need to wear super revealing clothes for anyone to notice you are skinny. This advice is never more important than on Halloween when for some reason girls are like... find me a costume that is: Slutty cop, slutty fireman, slutty playboy bunny, slutty sailor,
etc.. Avoid these:
-When attempting to do makeup... less is more. Colored eyeshadow and heavy eyeliner are never okay. NEVER. Avoid these:
It may sound cheesy but true beauty comes from inside. If you are feeling good- dressed in something you don't have to readjust or feel bad in- you will be more open and friendly, easily converse with others, and just be able to enjoy yourself.
I leave you with my greatest advice.
if kim kardashian would wear it (makeup or clothing)... its best to put it back and move on.

It pains me to put Beyonce in this group.

Friday Fashion: The least fashionable
Things I know about kim kardashian:
1. She obviously doesn't own a mirror
2. She pays people to follow her around and tell her she is so fashionable and beautiful
3. She truly believes she is a trendsetter
4. She is obsessed with leather and tight fitted
Things the world hopes for her child:
1. It gets a nanny (God help the child if she raises it)
2. The child will indeed, refuse to be called Easton West (the name Kim revealed if its a boy)
3. It will be allergic to leather
4. It goes to boarding school
In case you have missed some of Kim's recent outfits:
To the girl in the back of this photo staring.. I feel ya lady- we are all wondering what the heck kim is doing and wearing.

TV Tuesday
If you are looking for a good show to watch I have found you one!
The Good Wife
Sundays at 10 pm on CBS
starring:
Julianna Marguiles
Josh Charles
Chris Noth
Christine Baranski
Matt Czuchry
Alan Cumming
Michael J. Fox
Mary Beth Piel
This all star cast comes together in this wonderful drama about a law firm, distract attorneys wife, and all the twists and turns of politics and law in Chicago.
You easily could watch this show and keep up because it doesn't necessarily feed off the last episode. Essentially, each episode is a new storyline and issue the firm is trying to solve. However, some things- relationships, affairs, etc- that run throughout the season so one may be confused.
In all, it would be good to start from season 1. Trust me.. it's worth it!!
Happy watching!

Easter Outfit- piece by piece
I threw together my Easter outfit really quickly. I didn't really feel like planning things out before I left from school and I ended up packing very little. I had an outfit that was comfortable and cute, but the hemline didn't flatter me so at promptly 8:47 (we were leaving at 9 am) I quickly switched and ended up being very happy with my outfit.
I hope you all had a fabulous, relaxing, family filled weekend celebrating! We hosted with my grandparents and uncle here... so it was quiet and I certainly missed my cousins... suppose I will have to wait until graduation season to go crazy with them!
I wore this grey maxi skirt (on sale now at The Loft) that is super comfortable. Elastic waste and stretchy material, it was perfect for all the kneeling and up and down of Church.
I wore these wedges (Mossimo from Target). These are the best shoes I have bought in a while. Mostly because they match everything and the color blends with the skin to be oober flattering against the ankle. They are a great height (not too high!) and classic with every outfit!
I wore this pink blazer (Gap- old.. out of stock) as a pop of color. Mine was a bit looser and a-line to match the long look flow of the skirt. Underneath I wore a simple white shirt.
I wanted a pop of color so I layered this beneath the blazer. It actually made a huge difference. It pulled the outfit together and made me look actually quite fashionable if I do say so myself.
This outfit proves that buying cute simple pieces is the best way to go. I threw together what I had and boom...I got a really cute and comfy outfit. It made me feel at ease the entire day to truly enjoy our house guests!
