St. Patrick's Day Photo Dump!

I hope you all had a fabulous St. Patrick's Day! We celebrated pretty well around these parts since it is the only day of the year when cops don't break anything up. Here is some random photo-dumping constructed throughout the day!

This was my roommate freshman year... it was so good to see her! Note: It was also freezing outside.

Note someone randomly gave me a cup at some point and I was obsessed with not just throwing it on the ground so I carried around an empty cup the entire day. It was so obviously empty as I am basically holding it upside down in every picture. Everyone got a crack out of me and that cup all day!

I got a crack out of the google header yesterday (seen below). I had to look something random up and when that popped up all I could do was laugh. How cute! Of course I snapped a photo of it on my phone to share with you all since I thought it was so great. 

Hollywood Hunks (my top 5)!

Another storm is coming to New England yipee!!... said no one ever. Seriously, I adore that I get to experience all four seasons each year, but this winter is lasting far too long. Spring needs to get its booty in gear. To brighten up our wintered souls here are some hollywood hunks to cheer your weekend up!

Eddie Redmayne. An English actor who recently made his fame in Le Miserables. He is darn cute, but unfortunately taken! He is dating a British girl, so for now... eyes only!

Will Estes. He was my first celebrity crush as JJ Pryor on American Dreams. After the show got cancelled he flew under the radar for a while. However, he has made his reappearance as the adorable little brother following in the family business of being a cop on Blue Bloods. If you aren't watching that show, start now! Tom Selleck and Donnie Wahlberg also star. It airs on Fridays at 10!

If you need another reason to love him... below is his beautiful self in uniform!

relationship status: unclear. I have done some serious stalking and nothing! Proves how great he is for staying out of the tabloids.

Edward Burns. He was recently in the Alex Cross movie, but he has been in so much, including 27 Dresses. He is so dashing and charming. Unfortunately he too, is married with children, so he is only available to dream about!

This handsome man is one of my favorites. Kyle Chandler. You may all know him as this guy:

Coach Taylor from Friday Night Lights (netflix it NOW.. rent it whatever.. best show on television). He is most famous for his Coach Taylor days, but he has seamlessly entered the acting world in movies like Zero Dark Thirty and Argo. Handsome as ever. Unfortunately, he too is a southern charmer and has a wife and two children.

What would a hunk list be if Jon Hamm wasn't on it. Though he is legit male model status (and GQ's man of the year) he is most famous as Don Draper in Mad Men. He is dapper, dashing, and handsome. What more could you need? He is indeed, a phenomanal actor as well. You'll see him in tons of movies, including The Town, which is dear to my heart because it is about Boston. He is also taken and has been with his girlfriend for close to 20 years, but they do not believe in marriage. So, clearly he is trendy too.

Mexico Recap: the final photodump

Staying at a house in Mexico made all the difference. Having your own space and area to have privacy and hang with your best friend was awesome. We watched a movie every night after dinner (sometimes two!) and in all the vacation was just heaven.

Mexico recap: surfing

Our next event in Mexico was surfing. We were able to take lessons with someone my friend, Maggie, has worked with for years so there was a comfort level that put me at ease. I would really suggest, if you go to somewhere where surfing is popular, finding a local surf shop and taking lessons. Locals are so kind, know the area, and have good relationships with other surfers in case you cut them off (ahem.. it may have happened to me). In general, going through hotels or other services doesn't give you the same cultural experience.

I got up a total of two times and I was so proud of it. Surfing look so easy... in reality, its very hard. The hardest part was paddling because we had to get out past the break, which meant surviving crashing waves to get there. My arms have never felt like that before. All four people in my group were complaining of tired arms. I mean paddling is no joke!

There were tons of rocks (as you can see in the photo) and I have a few cuts and bruises from a set of waves that kept crashing and taking me further and further into the rocks. Maggie even cut her hand pretty deep trying to survive the set. After being rescued we took a break and just sat out in the ocean before going at it again.

All in all it was so fun! I would definitely do it again (minus the sunburn on the back of my legs) because I was so proud to have conquered two waves and survived the experience in general. Plus we got some awesome photos and met some really cool people.

Mexico Recap: swimming with the dolphins

One of the great things we did in Mexico was swim with the dolphins. If you ever get the chance to do this absolutely do it! We had groups of all ages... young and old. The dolphins are super friendly and it is impossible to even be nervous or scared around such wonderful creatures. It truly was a day full of memories!

This is the dolphin pushing me by the feet. You can see how fast we are going... they have surprisingly amazing strength. Not pictured: holding onto the fins and riding on Ariel's stomach... so fun!


Spending the day with the dolphins was such a cool experience. I highly suggest it as an event if you ever have the chance. You won't regret the laughs, memories, and all the cool pictures!

A Must Read!

Back from Mexico and enjoying how much color I have compared to those who stayed in snowy New England over Spring Break. Many pictures to come! However--I always love to hear about great books people are reading and I just finished one that was great! Its called Killing Kennedy and it is my opinion every American should read it, since JFK's death is a huge point in history. Regardless of your political beliefs, or opinons of Bill O'Reilly, this book is a must read!

The straight forward writing is excellent and there are so many facts that I assure you didn't know. Even though you know what happens it has a crazy way of making you want to flip the pages and find out what happens next. While some sections are about JFK and his months leading up to the assassination (Bay of Pigs, Cuban Missile Crisis, Jackie) others are about Lee Harvey Oswald and what he was doing in comparison to JFK (beating his wife, buying guns, attempting to live in Cuba, distributing Communist pamphlets).

The back and forth nature creates a quick read full of page turning facts. Go pick it up- I promise you won't regret it!
